NBA 2K13 was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, and released on October 2, 2012. It was released for all consoles and mobile devices as well. On the cover, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, and Derrick Rose are all ascending for a dunk in their trademark basketball shoes in a red backdrop. The music was produced by the popular rap artist, Jay-Z, which I think that were one of the best accomplishments in the game. The graphics are also better than the later 2K12, and 2K11 basketball games such as the facial detail and the basketball and court detailing. I really like how they have the 2K Share option in the game, because you are able to make 2K your game instead of the game being default by actually acquiring the new rosters and even old rosters from years past, or you can download your friend’s roster and play with their type of players or different teams or create your own “dream team”.
Many things have been upgraded or added into the game to make 2K the most anticipated basketball game in years, in my opinion. Some things I like were the new signature skills in the game, to make the player have different play types and skills to achieve the game. Blacktop, My Player that has changed to My Career, and Online are still the same, but a new VC option has been added in the game, which has influenced the game in my opinion to be more difficult to get your own favorite players; instead, you have to earn your players by beating teams to get VC points to unlock them online. Online players today have changed the way to get VC by certain glitches that weren’t fixed in the game, that way, they would be getting humongous amount of VC points in the game.
On a scale from 1 to 5, I give this game a 4.5 because of glitch problems, but still, this game is awesome. I’ve already played the game and bought the game when it first released and still have the game now and the game is a work in progress for 2K14.
